NOTE: Myrtlewood is a naturally stable wood. Sometimes myrtlewood doesn't pick up a ton of weight when stabilizing, this is the case with this set of scales. You may notice is feels like compared to a lot of wood, this is true, HOWEVER, the wood has been professionally stabilized under several thousand pounds of pressure and I can assure you that it is stable.
 
Sanded and sprayed with lacquer to bring out the color and figure.
