**There are some bark inclusions toward the end which are pictured, small inclusion on the edge, and a small bark inclusion in the center, these are very stable and show no signs of popping out, they are very integrated into the scales. Defects such as these are typical of pear burl because it is generally quite small and difficult to harvest in sizes appropriate for scales.**
